Job Description
The Linux Kernel Programmer will be responsible for working within a team of Department of Navy researchers, engineers, developers to design and develop Xen/Linux kernel and operating system. Perform day to day software development and analysis in a LINUX/XEN Kernel environment primarily in C, C++ and X86 assembly language. You will use your problem analysis expertise both in defect and performance issue resolution. You will develop and modify the XEN/LINUX kernel as needed.
Required Skills
Linux Kernel Development experience (not looking for engineers/administrators who have just done porting working, must have OS kernel development experience).
·In-depth knowledge of the Unix operating system internals, specifically concurrency control, memory management, synchronization, and scheduling
·Experience in SELinux
·5 to 7 years professional programming experience.
·Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work as part of a team are needed for effective cross-team collaboration.
·Self-starting, highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
