Job Description We are seeking a Sr. Principal and Principal Software Engineer to develop C-based device driver software for our Linux drivers. Design, develop, test, and document new versions of driver software to support new features and capabilities. Work closely with other UNIX developers in a team-orientated environment. Analyze and resolve driver problems found by customers or design verification test engineers. Responsibilities also include participation in the technical review/evaluation of various projects, generation of formal presentations, and maintenance of thorough and accurate documentation. These positions require a BSCS or BSEE or equivalent, and a minimum of 10 years experience including the architectural design and development of C-based driver software in a UNIX environment, particularly Linux. Must possess good communication skills and have experience in the development of networking or storage protocols. Candidate must also possess the ability to apply engineering, programming, and scientific principles to highly complex technical tasks and problems. Qualifications should include familiarity with Linux internals and specific kernel/driver experience in Linux.
