Job Description
|
*Lead embedded Linux software projects, including kernel porting, driver and tool chain development for Cirrus ARM9 family of embedded processors.
*Collaborate with the IC design team on new product definitions as well as pre- and post-silicon system verification and validation.
*Develop design specifications, application notes and other technical documents for embedded software products.
*Provide quality, responsive technical support to Cirrus customers and strategic partners.
*Collaborate with off-shore software engineering teams for customer support and software development.
*Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers
Provide technical advice to Management and support Management's business decisions.
Qualifications
*7+ years of embedded software development experience, mostly in device driver development and OS porting. Embedded Linux OS porting and driver development preferred.
*3+ years of experience with ARM7, ARM9 and ARM11 embedded processors; in-depth knowledge of microprocessor architectures.
*Strong understanding of digital audio, USB, networking and video display drivers and related protocol and interface technologies.
*Effective in using logic analyzer and scope to perform system level debugging.
*2+ years of experience mentoring junior-level engineers.
*Good technical writing and speaking skills.
*Good understanding of structured software design and knowledge of using UML tools to document software designs.
*Experience in using CVS or other version control tools.
